PRE GAME
We welcomed one of our newest partners BRSK to the 1873 Lounge ahead of the game.
BRSK have already supported the SCDF by providing funding that can help us strengthen our delivery and provided items that can be distributed to through our sessions and community. As part of the partnership SCDF have also become an affiliate of BRSK meaning that if you purchase WIFI with our link, £100 will be contributed to help support SCDF and the work we do in the community. Prior to the game getting underway at the Totally Wicked Stadium, we had lots of activities going on around the ground. In the North Stand, we hosted a new game that allows fans the chance to win prizes. If you pass the ball through the holes in the net ten times in a minute you would get the chance to spin the wheel to win a prize. We had a couple of winners throughout the evening, with some people winning tickets for the next home game that Saints have in a few weeks time.

We also had a mass Cheer performance which went on around the pitch. All of the girls got to dance in front of the North Stand ahead of the game.
Our A Star Saints Angels also had the chance to perform their routine in the middle of the pitch. They faced the West Stand, performing as the players warmed up for the game.
They also then welcomed the Red V onto the pitch by waving the flags ahead of the game, as the lads ran onto the pitch.

HALF TIME
During the half time interval, we had some Community Rugby League games take place across the Totally Wicked Stadium pitch. These were situated in front of the East Stand, allowing young children the opportunity to play at the home of the Saints.

Along with our Community Rugby League games that took place at the interval, we presented our Community Clubs with their own Positive Touchline Behaviour warm up shirts, following the successful campaign we ran last season.
Craig Richards & Kailum Rush, who helped organise & promote the Campaign, welcomed an ambassador from each club to the field, and presented them with their unique shirt as we continue to promote Positive Touchline Behaviour within our Community Game.

THE GAME
It was a dominant performance from Paul Wellens’ side, as they defeated the Red Devils 82-0 at the Totally Wicked Stadium in their Betfred Super League opener.
The Red V ran in fifteen tries in total, as they ended the first weekend of the new season on top of the table with the big victory.
Saints led 38-0 at the break, with the likes of Kyle Feldt, Lewis Murphy and Tristan Sailor all making their competitive home debuts for the club on Saturday. The tries continued to pour in the second half, with Sailor scoring four tries, Morgan Knowles and Harry Robertson scoring twice and seven others players also getting over the try-line.
