SCDF welcome Charities Commission to Totally Wicked Stadium!
Last Thursday, we were delighted to welcome the CEO of the Charities Commission David Holdsworth, Deputy CEO of the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action, Richard Warrington and the CEO of Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action Sally Yeoman.
David Holdsworth, Richard Warrington and Sally Yeoman joined our Business Manager Ben Hardman as we showcased the brilliant work we do within our Community alongside our relationship with Halton and St Helens Voluntary and Community Action.
We were proud to showcase some of the activities we have ran over the year, which included the Inclusive Volunteering we facilitated at our Inclusive Round, The inspired session where we took 3 of our Women’s players to meet the girls of Allanson Street Primary and Our World Book Day event and our world book day event where our Men’s playing squad visited over 40 primary schools in St Helen’s to help inspire children to read.
Our work throughout the year has been greatly supported by Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action, and it was great to be able to showcase this to David and Sally on Thursday.
Ben Hardman commented, saying: “It was great to welcome, David, Richard and Sally to talk about our great relationship with Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action and some of the positive outcomes we have achieved through that relationship whilst also showcasing our impact in the community.”
We look forward to continuing our partnership with Halton & St Helens Voluntary and Community Action, playing our part in making an impact in our fantastic community.
