RugBees is back tomorrow evening

Young girls programme RugBees is back tomorrow evening at Pilkington Recs ARLFC, with 20 weeks of action over Spring and Summer!

This is the third year that we are running the programme, having also held RugBees sessions in 2023 and 2024. During the first year, we spent the entire 20-week period at Portico Vine ARLFC, before holding an awards evening at the Totally Wicked Stadium to finish the programme. Last year, we took RugBees on tour around the local community. We visited five different amateur clubs around the local community, with each one hosting one-month blocks of sessions.

Some of the girls on the programme last year also got to help announce the St Helens Women’s squad that headed to Wembley. They also had the chance to hold the trophy, once the team had won the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.

This year, we are once again taking RugBees on the road around the local community. We are once again visiting five separate local clubs across four-week periods.

Katie Mottershead and Reese Wilks will host the sessions, with special guests from the St Helens Women’s side appearing at various points across the 20 weeks of sessions.

*Please note that sessions on 21st April, 5th May, 16th May and 25th August will not take place due to bank holidays so the dates have been adjusted accordingly!
