Jodie Cunningham & Matty Smith visit Qualitech Reminisce Cafe
St. Helens Women’s Jodie Cunningham and Matty Smith both appeared at our Qualitech Reminisce Cafe earlier on today at the Totally Wicked Stadium!
Cunningham won her fourth, and Smith his second consecutive Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup trophy in a row with a 0-22 victory over Leeds Rhinos at Wembley on Saturday afternoon.
The side last lost in the competition on July 7th 2019, more than 1,800 days ago and that record will extend to over 2,000 days following Saturday’s win!
The pair were interviewed by Gareth Foster and Barry Diggles at the event at the home of the Saints and discussed another memorable weekend for the Red V in the Capital.
Cunningham also looks forward to a bright future for the club in the women’s game after coming in fulltime at the start of the year and discusses whether she sees a coaching future for herself within the game.
Smith on the other hand discussed how much he is enjoying coaching his current squad and balancing it with his work at the first team.
