Veterans Recap: D-Day & a trip to York!

Last week, our Veterans paid respects on D-Day, along with being treated to another trip as part of our ‘Veterans of the Foundation’ Programme!

Last Thursday, our Veterans visited the Veterans Memorial Garden over at St Helens Cemetery, that the Veterans of the Foundation opened alongside Friends of St Helens Cemetery, and St Helens Council.

The Veterans laid a wreath at the Memorial Garden, as they paid respects on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

The Veterans also enjoyed a day out to York, enjoying another day trip! As part of the ‘Veterans of the Foundation’ Programme, the Veterans took a day out to York, and spent the day walking around the markets and shops!
