Second Girls Development Camp takes place at Cowley

We held our second Girls Development Camp of the year at Cowley International College yesterday afternoon!

100 girls signed up for the camp at Cowley, our most popular camp of the year so far, after it was extended from 80 girls the week before the event.

The girls got split up into their different age groups and showcased their skills to our coaches, as well as several members of staff and players from the Saints Women team.

With interest in the girls game growing rapidly around the community, there is not better time to get involved with one of our Girls Development Camps, with three more to go in 2024!

Matty Smith and Jodie Cunningham commented:

Head of Women’s Pathways and Performance Jodie Cunningham said: “Another really successful Girls Development Camp yesterday saw us deliver to more girls than ever and the standard was outstanding from everyone who attended. The community game is looking really strong across St.Helens and I can’t wait to see the girls in action again at the next camp on 23rd July!”

St.Helens Women Head Coach Matty Smith added: “Its great to see so many young girls down at Cowley yesterday getting involved in the Girls Development Camp. The girls turned up in great numbers and were able to showcase their skills. Hopefully we will see some of them playing in a Saints shirt in a few years time!”
