Saints players visit schools to celebrate World Book Day
As part of the build up to World Book Day on Thursday, 7th March 2024, this week our First Team players have been visiting a whole host of our local Primary Schools!
As part of the Saints Community Development Foundation’s mission to work with our local Primary Schools within our local region, players from the First Team have been visiting Primary Schools to share their favourite books or stories, and have talked with children about the benefits of reading books!
The players have been into schools sharing their love of reading, along with narrating stories with the individual classes that they have been reading in the classroom over the past weeks, as part of the World Book Day celebrations.
From the first two days, our First Team players have visited 36 different Primary Schools already, with even more to come in the coming days as we continue to share the important message about reading this World Book Day!
We look forward to the rest of the week celebrating World Book Day with kids in our community!
We were delighted to welcome Lewis Dodd and Jake Wingfield from @Saints1890 who shared their love of reading and favourite stories with us. What a fantastic way to start World Book Day celebrations ? pic.twitter.com/Y7tmIX635I
